We wanted to partner with an Aussie company that shared our values of inclusivity, sustainability and compassion and guess what? We’ve finally found the perfect fit in SÜK Workwear!

Nothing sookie about SÜK
SÜK Workwear was founded by female labourer, Mimosa Schmidt, after years of slogging it out in standard-issue, ill-fitting workwear. Recognising the need for quality, feminine workwear, she set out to create garments that celebrate all workers as worthy. SÜK Workwear combines functionality, flexibility, and flattery to create designs which empower those who work doubly hard to earn the respect others are freely given. Workwear that cares
Just like us, SÜK Workwear are committed to ethical and ecological practices. All their garments are made with 100% Fairtrade cotton from transparent supply chains and are made in partnership with two manufacturers in Pakistan. Their Fabric Mill adheres to The Standard 100 by OKEO-TEX to ensure their fabric doesn’t use chemicals that are harmful to human skin or the environment.
All garments are assembled in a family run factory which adheres to standards set by the amfori BSCI System Manual to ensure ethical, fair and secure employment and sustainable production methods. You can read more about how their garments are made here.
Better yet, SÜK Workwear are avid supporters of social and environmental initiatives. They support three local orgs including:
- One Tree Planted -an environmental organisation committed to regreening bushfire affected areas and reforesting the planet.
- The Social Studio – a Melbourne based, non-profit organisation which supports people from new migrant and refugee communities.
- Pay the Rent – an initiative which gives back to the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation on which their HQ & Retail shop is situated.

At Plants in a Box, we are all about SÜK Workwear! In fact, their apparel has become our unofficial uniform. Watering, potting, picking and packing – our resident plant nerds and dispatch team get it all done in SÜK. Durable, comfortable, and versatile, they’re wardrobe staples for any job!
