There are over 250 species of Aloes in the world, mostly native to Africa. They range in size from little one inch minis to huge trees. Aloes are semi-tropical, hardy but will not tolerate frost like temperatures - try to provide frost protection to prevent possible scarring.
They should be planted in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil area. You can place aloes indoors providing there is a well-lit area or sunny window. Grow them indoors in winter and then pop them outside in Summer. The miniatures and small Aloes will enjoy a more filtered light to morning sun. The larger Aloes can be given filtered sun or early morning, very late afternoon sun in desert climates. In most climates, they are happy with a lot of full sunlight.
#Tip - Let them go dry between waterings.
