A bit about the Satin Pothos:

Satin Pothos is just as easy to grow as its relative, golden pothos (Epipremnum aureum). Keep her warm and take care not to overwater. Cold drafts and soggy soil are two things the gal won't tolerate.

You'll see the best leaf colour and variegation by keeping her in bright, indirect light. You'll also keep her healthy by boosting the humidity. Psst! Bathrooms are great for this in Wintertime.

Big, heart-shaped leaves are dark-green and splashed with silvery grey, giving them a satin sheen. She has a compact growth habit that makes for an ideal hanging and dripping benchtop plant.

  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: I look my best in a hanging basket, place me somewhere high and let me flourish in the perfect spot in your home.

I grow to: I’ll reach 5 metres in length and 1 metre in width.

Where to place me: Harsh direct sunlight will scorch my leaves, while too little light will cause "ma leaves" to lose variegation.

How far to space me: Give me 30cms of elbow room

Soil Conditions: I need a well-drained potting mix that stays on the drier side, which I come with! A sure-fire way to kill me is too much drink.  Yellow leaves are a symptom of overwatering! Just saying...

Please take care when choosing your plants. Some plants are poisonous, and individuals may be more sensitive or react differently.

  • Size
  • The perfect size plant and pot for a bedside, kitchen island, dining room buffet.. the list goes on!

    Pot
    170mm wide x 145mm high x 100mm planting depth

    Plant
Currently growing in our larger 125mm nursery grow pot

  • Growing
  • How to water me
Water regularly, allowing top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Yellowing leaves may indicate overwatering, or poor drainage. If the pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, place a layer of med-large pebbles at the bottom, before planting.

    Potting needs
I really like a free-draining potting mix (which I come with)

    Tips and tricks
I don't need much extra care, but I will definitely benefit from occasional pruning in spring, which helps me to branch out and become fuller.

Repot in spring when I outgrow my pot. Use a pot only 1-2 inches bigger, because a much larger container will hold too much water.
