Buxus sempervirens is more commonly known as "English Box". Buxus is a very popular shrub with rich green and oval-shaped leaves. The dense growth habit is why this species is used predominantly for hedging, garden borders and for topiary. Buxus tolerates most well-drained soil types. They especially thrive with regular watering, feeding and pruning during the growing season. The best results are achieved when grown in full sun but will also tolerate partial shade.
