Description

The Callistemon Purple Splendour is a low fuss, fast-growing hedging plant. Callistemon's are loved for their trademark bottlebrush shaped flowers, and the Purple Splendour does not disappoint, producing clusters of purple flowers in Spring and then again in Autumn. He is relatively compact and makes a good medium hedge or a small specimen tree.

He is super adaptable to most soil types but does prefer a well-draining spot in full sun to part shade. Once established, he is drought resistant and can withstand light frosts. You can give him a prune to maintain a tidy shape and encourage flowering, but other than that, he is as low maintenance as they come.

Our plants are beautifully grown, mature tube stock with well-developed roots. They are guaranteed sun-hardened, can be planted directly into the ground, and are excellent performers for your garden - it's our plant promise guarantee!

  • How to water me

    Tips and tricks
To encourage flowering, apply in spring and autumn but make sure you use a low phosphorus fertiliser specifically designed for Australian natives such as Osmocote Native Plant Fertiliser. You can give me a prune after spring flowering, and this will encourage me to flower even better the next time around.
