Dietes bicolor is commonly known as "Yellow Peacock Flower", "African Iris" or "Fortnight Lily". This extremely hardy, evergreen, clumping plant has attractive, lemon-yellow iris-like flowers centred with brown blotches. The strappy, erect leaves are lime-green in colour.  Dietes bicolor is at it's best in full sun, but will also perform admirably in part shade. Well drained soils are a must! Achieve a huge impact by mass planting these reliable plants, include them in an open garden or consider them for an informal hedge.
