Gaura lindheimeri Dark Pink

A filler plant that is drought tolerant and a sweet little choice for cottage gardens, borders, in pots and containers or even as a cut flower. The Gaura lindheimeri Dark Pink is often named the Butterfly Bush because of the blooms that appear in summer to attract lots of butterflies to your yard. Other common names of the delicately flowering plant include Bee Blossom. It prefers a spot in full sun in light, sandy and well-drained soil.

Description

Dark pink, star-shaped flowers have an airy appearance above the compact habit. The shorter stems make it an ideal pick for containers. It's not too big, only getting to about 40cm high.

Gaura is well-suited to dry, hot landscapes and will look great planted en masse in the landscape or fancy in pots.

Growing gaura plants (Gaura lindheimeri) provide a background plant for the garden that gives the impression of butterflies floating in the breeze.
