Description

Button ferns are small compared to other fern varieties (they only grow 12-18 inches tall), making them ideal candidates for small spaces. Their small leaflets become more oval-shaped as the plant grows.

Button Fern prefers less water than most ferns and the topsoil should be allowed to dry out between waterings. It does not appreciate direct light. If you don't choose to shop him with a pot, pop him in a plant stand or a hanging basket and allow the trail of leathery, button-shaped leaflets to cascade over the side. "OMG where did you get him from?" they will all ask.

What's in this cute box then?

1 x Button Fern Houseplant
1 x Self-watering pot (choose from 6 colours) Aussie made.
1 x Coconut coir fibre mat - keeps the pests away and looks fancy on top of your soil
Soil - just enough to DIY pot up your plant into its new self-watering pot.

  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: I love a hanging basket and just about any pot you got as long as it has a HOLE in it. Allows me to drain.

I grow to:  slow-growing and should not reach more than 12” in height and width.

Where to place me: Bright indirect light indoors

Watering Conditions: Tolerates fairly dry conditions. One thing this fern won't tolerate is soggy soil. If you notice the fronds starting to yellow and wilt, it's a sign of overwatering. Cut back on the water, and trim the fronds.

If you choose the pot option: I come with a bag of fancy soil mix - free draining.

Please take care when choosing your plants. Some plants are poisonous, and individuals may be more sensitive or react differently.
