Cordyline congesta is an Australian native rainforest plant, more commonly known as "Narrow-leaved Palm Lily". Considered a rare species, it grows to 3-4 metres, has long, narrow, strappy, green leaves with slightly toothed margins. Numerous purplish coloured flowers are produced and it bears fruit that is orange-red in colour. It should not be confused with Cordyline rubra which also has red fruit.
