Cordyline petiolaris is an Australian native rainforest plant, more commonly known as "Broad-leaved Palm Lily". It is an evergreen, medium to tall foliage plant, with long, narrow strappy green leaves. White to pale lilac flowers are followed by red fruit. The height may vary from 1 to 5m high, depending on the light factor. The Palm Lily makes an excellent potted plant for indoor use, provided it is in a position of high light. They are perfect for landscaping around pools and ponds where they give a tropical feel to the space. Frogs are often found in habitats that include this species.
