Aglaonema commutatum "Lady Valentine"

Aglaonema commutatum Lady Valentine cultivar with her smooth-textured variegated foliage is perfectly irresistible. The Lady Valentine bears appealing leaves with tones of pink randomly splashed with dark green blotches, this creates change in its pattern. The midrib, margin and petiole are all dark green. • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: Feature plant indoors, outdoors as an understorey plant in a shady position

    I grow to: 30-60cm high, 30-60cm wide

Where to place me: Indirect light or shady position outdoors

How far to space me: If planted outdoors they can be spaced 40cm apart

Watering conditions: Water Aglaonema deeply but allow the soil to dry out between waterings.

My features: Striking foliage plant, ideal for low light conditions. Miss popular for her foliage colour.

  • Aglaonema stalks retain water for the plant in periods of drought. If there is too much water in the soil and the stalks are also full of water, this can cause the plant to rot. In this case, hold off on watering, aerate (or in severe cases replace) the soil, and prune away any rotting stalks.

Droopy leaves can be an indication of insufficient lighting or improper watering. If receiving too much direct sun, Aglaonema foliage may curl under to protect themselves against the sun. In insufficient light, the leaves can also begin to wilt and show signs of weakness. A combination of yellow and brown leaf margins, moist soil, and droopy leaves is often a result of too much water. Crispy, fully yellow or brown leaves and dry soil is typically a result of too little water.

Fertiliser - If you are using a premium soil mix with a slow-release fertiliser your soil should have enough in it for up to 6mnths so you will not need to add to it until after this time. After this time an organic liquid feed in the growing season only.

  • Delivery
  • Our plants are beautifully grown and have well-developed roots. They are hardened, can be planted directly into the planters and are excellent performing Indoor plants - it’s our plant promise guarantee!

We carefully package your plants into a customised box to ensure safe transport, healthy plants and fast, free delivery to your door
