Devils Ivy 'Golden Pothos' - Pot + Plant + Soil

Epipremnum Aureum - Devil’s IvySome say that Epipremnum ended up with the not-so-flattering name because it’s almost impossible to kill and stays green in dark conditions. A more attractive alternative name is Golden Pothos after its long trailing vines and gold-splashed heart-shaped leaves.

Description

She is Australia's absolute most used and most loved plant choice for an office plant, houseplant, teenagers room plant and grandma's living room because she will survive the toughest of conditions. Growth will slow if you choose a very dark spot, while very bright spots will burn the leaves and eventually kill the plant.

In return for better health and great interior chic, she requires very little in return - what did we say? She's the favourite for a reason!

What's in this cute box then?

1 x Indoor Houseplant
1 x Self-watering pot (choose from 6 colours) Aussie made.
1 x Coconut coir fibre mat - keeps the pests away and looks fancy on top of your soil
Soil - just enough to DIY pot up your plant into its new self-watering pot.

  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: I brighten a shelf, desk or windowsill and boost your air quality. Please take me to the office!

I grow to: I’ll cascade to two metres.

Where to place me: Outside, I need full to part shade, and indoors I’ll cope in most low light situations. Just keep me away from direct sunlight.

How far to space me: Give me 30cms of elbow room

Soil Conditions: I need a well-drained potting mix that stays on the drier side, which I come with! A sure-fire way to kill me is too much drink.

Please take care when choosing your plants. Some plants are poisonous, and individuals may be more sensitive or react differently.

Pothos are trailing plants that will happily continue to vine down a bookcase, along a shelf, or around a table for as long as you let it! I come potted in a 85mm nursery pot.

    Pot
    170mm wide x 145mm high x 100mm planting depth

Paired with our Mr Kitly Self-watering Pot you can't go wrong for that instant greenery look!

  • Growing
  • Lighting
I tolerate low light but I do prefer filtered light if offered to me. If I'm struggling and I am in a low light situation, simply push me towards the light.

    Growth
Prune back to encourage more growth. To encourage a nice bushy habit, simply circle my foliage around the topsoil so my aerial roots attach. *HINT: Use bobby pins to attach my ariel roots around the top-soil and hold your vine into place. Organic liquid feed in the growing season.

    Cleaning
Once a month, you can wipe down the plant leaves using a damp cloth to clean away any dust that has collected and may be preventing her leaves from breathing. You can also prune off any damaged or dying leaves using a sharp pair of scissors or secateurs.
