  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: I brighten a shelf, desk or windowsill and boost your air quality. Take me to the office!

I grow to: I’ll cascade to two metres.

Where to place me: Outside I need full to part shade and indoors I’ll cope in most low light situations. Just keep me away from direct sunlight.

Soil Conditions: I need a well-drained potting mix that stays on the drier side. A sure-fire way to kill me is too much drink.

  • Size
  • I come to you in a 125mm nursery grow pot and you can purchase me with a self-watering pot or not! You choose.

  • Growing
  • Grow pothos indoors, preferably with bright, not direct light, although it also will tolerate low-light conditions. Pothos like to have soil dry out between waterings.

Popular due to the fact that it can be grown in water or in dry soil. Cuttings can be taken from a mother plant and rooted in water and kept in water as a houseplant. This is convenient for placing a pothos plant in hard to reach areas in a jug of water where it can remain untouched as long as water remains in the jug. On the opposite end, pothos can also be started in soil and will tolerate moderate periods of dry soil with little effect on the plant. Strangely enough, cuttings started in one growing medium have a hard time switching to the other. A pothos started in the soil can have a tough time surviving if moved to water, and a pothos cutting started in water may not do very well in soil, especially if it has spent most of its time growing in water.
