Fittonia verschaffettii Lovers

Fittonia verschaffettii Lovers is the cutest little plant which is perfect for terrariums or small compact planters. He has small white leaves with dark green patterns. Every true fittonia lover wants him "you may hold my hand for a while but will you get to hold my fittonia?"

pet friendly

Description

Fittonia verschaffeltii Lovers also goes by the name of Nerve PlantMosaic Plant and Painted Net Leaf. Originally from rainforests in South America, this lover likes a nice humid spot in the house with plenty of nice bright, indirect sunlight.

The Fittonia Lovers is definitely not the most low maintenance plant and it will need a bit of love and attention to keep it alive. It likes to be constantly moist with a high level of humidity and will do best with frequent misting. We find the best spot to pop a fittonia, is in the bathroom or a terrarium. Getting the conditions right is tricky but once you get there all the hard work will be worth it to see the lush green and white foliage.

  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: Great rare indoor plant

    I grow to: 15cm high, 30-60cm wide

Where to place me: I like a nice bright light but not direct as I will burn

Watering conditions: Keep the soil nice and moist but not soaking

Soil Conditions: I like well-draining soil that is nice and moist

Please take care when choosing your plants. Some plants are poisonous and individuals may be more sensitive or react differently.

  • Size
  • I am small but extremely cute at the moment standing about 5cm tall in a 50mm nursery tube. I grow to 30-60cm high provided you love me.

  • Growing
  • If you start to see soft, yellowing leaves this is a good indication the plant is getting too much water, make sure your pot has a drainage hole in the bottom and that you are using a good quality, free-draining potting mix.

If the leaves start to drop and they are dry and shrivelled this is an indication that it is too cold for this tropical beauty. Pop it somewhere nice and warm away from cold windows or doors that might be letting a draught in.

If the plant starts to get leggy pinch off the tips to create a nice rounded plant. Sorry to babble but we like to get you off to a good start.

  • Delivery
  • Our plants are beautifully grown and have well-developed roots. They are hardened, can be planted directly into the planters and are excellent performing Indoor plants - it’s our plant promise guarantee!

We carefully package your plants into a customised box to ensure safe transport, healthy plants and fast, free delivery to your door
