A beautiful tropical evergreen that makes a large and attractive indoor feature plant. If you’re looking for some front room wow-factor this low-care monster will certainly give you a show. The monstera deliciosa is recognizable by its large, glossy green leaves with deep splits and holes.
Incredible, healthy tubestock plants or your money back.
Monstera Deliciosa is a large tropical evergreen plant perfect for an indoor or outdoor feature. The Deliciosa is the larger of the Monstera and yes you may know him as split-leaf philodendron, fruit salad plant, swiss cheese plant, Mexican breadfruit, or hurricane plant (woah!). The monstera is recognizable by its large, glossy green leaves with deep irregular shape splits and holes.
He looks tropically amazing in the garden, but a word of warning - if you put him directly into the ground he may take over. The roots are invasive so we recommend keeping Monstera in a pot.
This handsome chap suits every home, making him a favourite among the indoor plant parents. However, he looks just as good in a large pot next to your poolside decor (just remember to keep him in the shade or the foliage will burn).
When fully matured, edible fruit appears resembling a green ear of corn. As the fruit ripens it gives off a sweet smell compared to a combination of pineapples and bananas.

What to use me for: Statement plant for indoor or outdoor - but only in a pot!
I grow to: 3m wide, 4m high.
Where to place me: Bright indirect light indoors, or warm sheltered position outside. I will tolerate low light but will grow faster and become more dramatic in a bright spot.
Soil Conditions: I’m pretty hardy outside where I prefer moist soil, but indoors I need a well-drained potting mix.
Watering: Be careful not to overwater. Give deep soaks when the soil is dry instead of small frequent watering. See our guide on watering for indoor plants.
Features: edible fruit (only when fully ripened)
Please take care when choosing your plants. Some plants are poisonous and individuals may be more sensitive or react differently.
I'm a big boy, growing up to 3 - 4m tall!
Please note if planted in the natural ground these plants grow very large and have invasive roots so we recommend keeping it in a pot, whether that's indoor or outdoor.
I am currently 10-15 cm high, growing in 50mm nursery grow pots.
Put him in bright indirect light and only water when the soil is dry. Resist from trimming his aerial roots if you can - they're important.
Cleaning
If you're keeping his baby indoors, make sure to wipe away dust from foliage with a damp soft cloth to allow the plant to breathe and absorb sunlight and moisture.
Tip:
Too much harsh sunlight can result in scorching, but if it doesn’t get enough the plant may not develop as many perforations in its leaves. It's all about balance.

Succulents don’t like a lot of water and long periods of drought won’t hurt yours one bit, they’re the best type of plant for forgetful folk, or those that are away from home a fair bit, so don’t feel bad if you haven’t given him a drink yet. One of the most common mistakes people make is watering them too much! The best potting mix for succulents is a well draining one. Using a good potting mix of porous soil for succulents is super important to prevent overwatering. Water your succulent when the soil is dry. Soak it thoroughly rather than giving it regular sips and always empty excess water from the saucer as it will rot the roots. If you’re struggling try one of our self-watering pots they make a plant killer look like a pro! In winter succulents need even less water. You can touch the soil each week and if it’s even a bit damp then leave it alone and try again the following week. Succulents need little moisture and although it seems cruel, a sure-fire way to kill your beauty is by watering it frequently. This will turn it to mush.
If in doubt, leave it without.
