Monstera Plants for Sale

If you like your indoor plants with large stylish leaves, you will find plenty to like with Monstera varieties. In fact, the name 'Monstera' comes from a Latin word meaning monstrous or abnormal.

Many types of Monstera plants grow with holes or splits in their leaves which is why they are commonly called Swiss Cheese plants.

Monstera deliciosa

The mother of all Monstera is the Monstera 'Deliciosa'. Classic large feature plants inside or outside your home. It's good to note that her roots are invasive, so we recommend growing Deliciosa in a pot and growing her up in pot size gradually. She is sometimes called a split-leaf philodendron. Monstera deliciosa can produce edible fruit when it is fully ripe (pretty cool, right?).

Monstera adansonii

The 'Adansonii' is very much suited to the name Swiss Cheese Plant because his leaves will get holes as he matures. A pretty as a picture climbing plant that can grow up to 10 metres if given support - he loves a good plant stake.

Rhaphidophora tetrasperma (Mini Monstera)

We have this one in the Monstera collection if you are looking for him here because he is also known as Mini Monstera. His leaves look a lot like Monstera deliciosa. He's a bubbly houseplant and, as the name suggests, will grow to a more contained height of approximately 1 metre. Throw him a stake and he'll do wondrous things.

Caring for Monsteras

If inside your house, pop your Monsteras in bright but indirect sunlight; harsh sunlight will only eek, burn the leaves. Yep, Monsteras like water when their topsoil is dry to touch. But geesh, be super careful not to overwater. Well draining potting mix is best and when picking out your designer pot, please be sure to get one with a fancy drainage hole.
