Description

He is hardy and super easy to care for. His thick, glossy, heart-shaped light green leaves outlined in creamy white are an instant eye-catcher.  Pop him in partial light indoors but partial shade if grown outdoors on your balcony.

While haircuts, aka pruning, are unnecessary, you’ll likely want to trim them to keep the shape you desire. Some people prefer a more compact look, others want it to look more like an upright plant than a trailing one, and some let it trail down. Whatever you prefer, and wherever you want to keep him?

Water me when the soil feels dry to the touch. Or grab yourself a Sustee watering device to know when to water and when not to.

The Peperomia is known to effectively hold water in their fleshy stems and leaves during times of drought, so they can have their own if you forget to water or go on vacation.

  • Quick Facts
  • What to use me for: Use me for adding pizzazz to your home. Pop me in the bathroom, on the kitchen benchtop, up high on a shelf unit or hang me in the corner of your room. Just make sure I have enough partial light to grow and I'll be happy to grow. Furball (pet) friendly too! (yes we love this guy)

Where to place me: When growing a Peperomia, locate the plant in a medium to low light situation away from direct sun. You may also grow Peperomia plants under fluorescent lighting. Cold and damp conditions are their worst enemies. Keep in warm, humid conditions at all times.

Soil Conditions: A light houseplant mixture with perlite or coarse gravel is included to allow roots to receive air circulation. If your peperomia plants are wilting, in spite of regular watering, the plant is likely not getting enough oxygen to the roots.

Water moderately in summer and sparingly in Winter. Please allow my soil to dry out considerably between applications, but avoid letting it dry out completely. Feed every 14 days from spring until the end of summer with a standard liquid fertiliser. Too much water and watering too often are the most common issues with this plant. So, you want to be mindful of that.

  • Cupid Peperomia does well in indoor conditions. And, you don’t need to do anything special to maintain its health as far as climate goes. That said, you do want to avoid drafts and breezes which the plant does not appreciate. This means keeping it away from heaters, vents, air conditions, open doors and windows.

It cannot tolerate frost or freezing conditions. So, it is not a good idea to leave it outside through the winter if you experience heavy frosts. It won’t be able to survive this.

When misting be careful not to wet the leaves too much. Excess moisture or wetness that does not dry soon after puts the plant at risk of fungal infections. This is why we are not huge fans of misting.

Thus, a good way to avoid this is to give it enough sunlight and air circulation. Both will help any excess moisture dry faster.

Your Cupid Peperomia is a light feeder. It does not need a lot of plant food to grow optimally.

  • Delivery
  • Beautifully grown and mature in size with developed roots and guaranteed sun hardened. These plants can be inserted straight into your planters and make an excellent indoor plant for your abode.

We carefully package your plants into a custom size box to ensure safe transport and a healthy plant delivered to your door.
