Description

You probably wouldn't guess by the look of it, but the Plectranthus argentatus is a low growing native Australian shrub. Calling tropical and subtropical rainforests home it is a great shrub to plant where not much else will grow.

Bearing beautiful silver foliage, she can handle shadier spots making her a great contrast plant in a native garden. Plectranthus also goes by the name Silver Plectranthus and looks fantastic planted with contrasting colours like the Loropetalum China Pink or the Leptospermum morrisonii.  She is a relatively low maintenance plant and can handle periods of droughts and a shaded spot under a tree. A good choice for mixed borders and semi-tropical gardens where the silvery-grey tones can be used to great effect.
