Satin Pothos (Scindapsus pictus)

Mature tubestock, premium and ready to plant!

Ok so she goes by the names of

Scindapsus, Satin Pothos, Silk Pothos 'Argyraeus'

Just as versatile and low maintenance as her pothos friends. She has a super amazing silver colouring that we can't stop crushing on. Her hanging leaves are by far the most amazing of the pothos range. And guess what she's not actually a pothos! (botanical naming). But yes most refer to her by that name so let's not confuse things for you.

I have the prettiest blue-green leaves with silver speckles and an almost shimmering surface... I'm a dazzler a great ‘draper’ and look fine in a hanging planter or on a shelf where there’s room for me to just hang.

Pop me in the bathroom, I like it there. Water occasionally, and I'll usually be totally sweet.

Quick Facts:

    • What to use me for: I’m an indoor feature plant that’ll grow up a totem or drape down from a shelf. Thrives in both bright indirect light and low-light conditions (but ill keep my patterns if kept in bright indirect light). Keep me warm and take care not to overwater me. Cold drafts and soggy soil are two things it won't tolerate. Silver Satin Pothos is an incredibly low maintenance houseplant and is also known as Devil’s Ivy because it is so difficult to kill. It is an excellent choice for first-time houseplant buyers because it handles missed watering and minimal light without consequence.
    • I grow to: I’ll reach 5 metres in length and 1 metre in width.
    • Where to place me: On a high shelf or a pot with a totem. Keep me out of direct sunlight, please. Bright to medium indirect light.
    • How far to space me: I need 50cms of elbow room.
    • Soil Conditions: I’d like free draining potting mix, please doesn't like to be overwatered so make sure you allow the top half of her soil to dry out between waterings. Water regularly, allowing top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Yellowing leaves may indicate overwatering, or poor drainage. If the pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, place a layer of med-large pebbles at the bottom, before planting.
    • Pruning tip: Your plant will benefit from occasional pruning, which helps it to branch out and become fuller. Spring is the best time to cut it back.
    • Please note : Satin ‘Pothos’ are toxic to most animals if consumed.
